Manuscript evaluation
A review that identifies the editorial work your book would benefit from.
Publishing support
JJL evaluates editorial needs and can coordinate qualified editorial professionals as part of the publishing process. Editorial scope is quoted separately after manuscript review.
How we help
Not every manuscript needs every kind of edit. JJL reviews your manuscript, recommends what it needs, and coordinates qualified independent editorial professionals, with JJL remaining your project manager.
A review that identifies the editorial work your book would benefit from.
Big-picture work on structure, pacing, character, argument and flow.
Sentence-level work on voice, clarity and style.
Grammar, consistency, usage and mechanics.
A final check for errors before the book goes to print or publication.
Reader feedback, and specialist or sensitivity review where appropriate.
Editing is not automatically included in any Author Services package. It is evaluated and quoted separately after manuscript review, and the scope depends on the manuscript. Editorial work may be performed by vetted outside professionals.
